King Vajiralongkorn Consort stripped of all her titles in Thailand

Sineena Wongvajirapakdi was stripped of all of her titles by King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand. All her titles were revoked because of her disloyalty to the royal family. 34 year old Sineenat Wongvajirapakdi first worked as an army nurse after graduating with a Bachelor degree of Science in Nursing from college in 2008. Then she joined the kings bodyguard, and was promoted to major general and even commanded her own battalion before becoming the king's royal consort.

Sineenat was removed from the position of royal consort because she showed resistance and want to stop the appointment of the queen, Sineenat was said to have wanted the same position as the queen. Sineenat was charged with abusing her power to issue orders and pretending they were royal commands. According to ABC News, in Thailand's lese majeste law mandates prison terms of up to 15 years for those found guilty of insulting members of the royal family.

Under Thailand constitution the king Maha Vajiralongkorn is given very little power, but remains a figurehead.As the head of state the king


is given some powers and has a role to play in the workings of government. According to the constitution, the king is head of the armed forces. As well as being required to be Buddhist as well as the defender of all faiths in the country. The king also retained some traditional powers such as the power to appoint his heirs, the power to grant pardons, and the royal assent. King Maha Vajiralongkorn previously had 4 other marriages which ended with divorced a total of seven children. When he appointed Sineeant royal consort it was the first time since King Vajiravudh who died in 1925. After Sineeant was stripped of her titles days later six senior officers were fired from the palace including a nurse and a veteran because of evil actions.
